Path for iOS

Looking for a nifty little app where you can keep up with as many friends as intuitively as possible? Enter Path, for iOS. I've had this on my iPhone 4 for a little over 2 months and I can honestly say that I'm addicted to it. 

Sign up is easy. You can sign up with your Facebook or create an account using your email. Don't worry though, you can link sites like Facebook, Instagram, Foursquare, Tumblr and Twitter later on. What lies ahead of the sign-up process is a gorgeous interface that is both clean and intuitive.

The whole idea is to catalogue what you do in your daily life for your friends to see. There are a multitude of different 'moments' you can add to your timeline. If you're listening to music, you can check-in to that and the app will locate the song you're listening to on your iDevice. 

So how do you know if your friends have seen your latest check-in? Well, you can either turn on push-notifications via the settings tab or simply sign in and you'll see a small counter beside your check-in. The number tells you how many of your friends have seen it. Your friends can also comment or 'like' the moment by using emoticons - they're always good to have in any social networking app, right?

One of the main uses for smartphones these days is photography. Or as they call it, 'iPhoneography'. Path has various cool filters that you can use for your pictures; much like Instagram. You can share these with your Twitter, Facebook etc. just by tapping the correct icons as you're about to share. 

Another cool thing about the app is the 'Go to sleep' and 'I'm Awake' feature. If you're about to go for a nap, simply tap the crescent shaped button on the bottom left corner and you can choose to 'Go to sleep'. And when you wake up, hit 'Awake' and you can resume with the app and go about your day-to-day activities.
