Man Of Steel Poster Surfaces In Anticipation Of The Dark Knight Rises DVD/Bluray Release

Warner Brothers cleverly rewarded Superman fans and those anticipating the release of Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel by releasing a poster for the film along with the DVD/Bluray release of The Dark Knight Rises. This doesn't come as a surprise though since Christopher Nolan is producing the new take on Superman.

In all seriousness, he looks pretty good. We can only assume - again, this is an assumption so don't mistake this for a spoiler - that this could be a foreshadowing of the fact that Superman and the police/army/or whatever authority will be at odds. Kind of like Batman and the Gotham City Police.

Concert at City Hall (by CFL)

Suddenly remembered the random concert/festival I stopped by last week. I was reminded of this when the Toronto Argonauts won the Grey Cup on Sunday.

They handed out free cans of Pepsi Max (first time trying it -- better late than never right?) along with a demo of the Samsung Windows 8 touchscreen notebooks. They were brilliant. People were doing zip lines too! I so wanted to try it but didn't have enough time as I had to get to work.

Full Man Of Steel Trailer to Debut with The Hobbit

Seems like it was just yesterday I was enjoying some Christopher Nolan flicks and watching some Watchmen madness from Zack Snyder - oh wait...all that really happened yesterday! :/

Anyways, I just heard that the first full trailer for Snyder's epic adaptation of Superman, Man of Steel will be released alongside The Hobbit. This is incredible news. Seeing as how Peter Jackson's epic fantasy film has garnered so much attention already, this is a really good reason to watch the film (for non-fans of LOTR and The Hobbit). I actually seriously can't wait. Because of that, my impatience has caused me to use actually and seriously back to back in the same sentence! As an LOTR fan, this comes across as a pat on the back for me. I'm already looking forward to the movie for it's technical results - the versions shot at 48 fps and such.

Crytek Up For A New Crysis?

I can't believe this guys! The 3rd Crysis hasn't even been released yet and they're planning a forth one? I don't know about you but it seems a lot like Crytek is giving in to all the pressure and hype building around FPS' these days. Who can blame 'em? Crytek did in fact give us one of the best looking games on console: Crysis 2 - spectacular results all thanks to a next-gen game engine, CryEngine 3.

Granted, the story was a little bland and despite it's forgettable characters and glitchy AI, Crysis 2 was pretty fun to play through. Same can't be said about Crysis 3 though -- because it hasn't been released yet. See what I did there? Crytek is in fact planning on a new Crysis. Just don't call it Crysis 4! 

Crytek's Cevat Yerli had this to say: "We are excited about the DNA of Crysis and of the franchise. There can be literally tonnes of titles out there within the franchise. Unlike Far Cry, this time around we feel very flexible about Crysis," Adding to his interview with Eurogamer, "I wouldn't name it Crysis 4 at this stage because it would be misleading. We want to finalize Prophet's story and Crysis 4 would imply the story just moves on."

And if you're wondering when this is likely to happen: "Normally in this time right now we would already have pre-production going on, but because we want to make this something much more radical and new we are looking at it as a bit of a long term thing. It's too early to about it for these reasons."

So there you have it, a new Crysis is on it's way. My guess is that it'll most likely be pushed into the next-gen releases. Possibly, a launch title for the Xbox 720 and/or Playstation 4?

How to get the best results from Online Translation Software

Translation is simply defined as a process of changing a document from one language to the other. It can be done by either human beings or a machine translator. Online translation is mostly done by machines which are able to translate over thousand languages in the world depending on its capability. Names of companies or institutions that do not need to be translated and should remain that way should have 'x' at the beginning of the word and at the end. For example, when writing "RVP", one should write it as "xRVPx" so as to retain it in its original form, by avoiding its translation, which would deter its meaning in the end. This gives the program an easy time while translating the context into a given language. Compared to human beings, programs are ideal translators and are mostly reliable due to their excellent speed and cost, giving a better result from online translation done by computers.

The world is being turned into a small village as we can see due to discoveries made in technology. This makes it possible for people with different customs and languages to communicate and associate to accomplish a given task. The translation software makes it possible to read articles, instant messages and emails received in any foreign language. They also double check the spelling errors in the documents given the reader an easy time going through it. Doing this will enable one to get the best results from online translation software. In conclusion, online translation can only be achieved by feeding the computer with the appropriate information to be translated, in its simpler form as seen in the context above, and the information will be translated appropriately.

A Superman We've Never Seen Before?

If you've been following my twitter updates (@TeenageVFX) or my previous posts, you'd know by now how much I love Batman. And with that comes uncontrollable hatred for Superman - Hey, don't judge me okay? It's kinda normal that a batman fan find Superman unappealing.

On the other hand, I'm a Zack Snyder kinda guy too. I absolutely enjoyed his adaptation of Alan Moore's Watchmen. It was dark, grim, and had that rich comic book feel to it that a movie of that hype should. Seeing as how Snyder's behind the latest reboot of Superman, it has changed my views on the superhero. Don't worry, I still think he's as absurd as ever. What strikes me about him though is what Zack Snyder recently said in an interview with LA Times. He explained, “It’s a more serious version of Superman. It’s not like a heart attack. We took the mythology seriously. We take him as a character seriously. I believe the movie would appeal to anyone. I think that you’re going to see a Superman you’ve never seen before.”

“What was it about him that cracked the code that made pop culture embrace this other mythology? What we’ve made as a film not only examines that but is also an amazing adventure story. It’s been an honour to work on. As a comic book fan, Superman is like the Rosetta Stone of all superheroes. I wanted to be sure the movie treated it respectfully.”

With one of my all time favourites, Christopher Nolan behind the project as well, here's hoping this turns out well enough for us Batman fans to sit through.

The New 52 Batman Comics Are Worth A Read!

Okay, so I recently started reading the new 52 Batman comics (NOT detective comics, The Dark Knight. JUST Batman).
I'm about 5 issues in and it seems that I accidentally got the Spanish prints of issues 6-8. Oops! So far, I'm really enjoying it. I don't know how different the story was - if it even existed - in the older version of the comic, so I can't tell compare. And being a huge Batman fan, I'm quite disappointed in myself!

Court of The Owls is a pretty badass concept, I must say. But I'm surprised there isn't even a 'supernatural' hint to it unlike my expectations. Nightwing, and Robin also make an appearance but nothing beats the charm of Alfred - the ever-trustworthy butler that can work a supercomputer all by himself. I thoroughly loved how we get to explore the history of the Wayne family and it's shockingly violent and grim. The Court Of Owls are born and bred assassins and are now at the verge of slaying Bruce Wayne. This is one of the rarest times when Batman has been mentally overmatched. Not that we didn't already know, there is indeed a weaker side to Batman, and I can't wait to see how this turns out. Right after I get the proper prints!
